There's a lot to be thankful for when your first period class consists of a teacher man that can grow a beard seemingly over night, young Madison lord aka trap goddess that blesses us with her presence every once in a while, Shiri with the best comments to assist you through the day, and lil Gourty Gourty my leather jacket wearing greaser babe.
To begin with Mr. McCarthy has a beard to make any werewolf fall in love. He also has an impeccable taste in music and isn't afraid to talk to us like we're people. Some teachers like to assume the dictator role but fortunately he doesn't. I also enjoy when he sends selfies off of Shiri's phone.
Maddy is one to be thankful for as well. She can always hold you down on one of her classic Maddy stories. It usually includes some type of misfortune in which you can't help but laugh at. This year I have gotten to know her quite well and I'm always be thankful for that.
I am also thankful for Shiri, she's the best. I have the pleasure of having three classes with her and I enjoy all three a whole lot more because of it. She cracks me up and to be honest who doesn't love someone who can tell it like it is. Her stale faces are a personal favorite. If you have not had the delight of seeing one of them, I suggest you talk to her about anything Trig and/or school related. 10/10 would enjoy.
Oh Gourty Gourty. Her suave is unparalleled. I am thankful for all her weird quirks and the fact that we drank a half gallon of TruMoo chocolate milk together. She knows what's good.
All in all this is one of my favourite classes I have had at Whitney Young so far.
Don't tell anyone- it's Velcro.
